After watching a ton of permaculture videos and playing city building games over the past few weeks, and just now watching the movie Wall-E, I was able to put 2 and 2 together.
WE NEED TO SAY NO TO CORPORATE GREED. We need to say no to the amazon being cut down for beef production for sale to the United States. We need to say no to big oil and big pharma. We need to say no to the way WE have lived on this Earth for the past several thousand years of ME, ME, ME.
We need to discover and put together the conditions condusive to us being able to live in harmony and balance with Earth. THIS IS WHAT PERMACULTURE IS ABOUT - sustainable living.
We need to find the conditions that allow us to no longer need to make more money, because this effort to make money at the expense of our planet, ecosystem and fellow man, will eventually kill us, when we turn our planet into something that can no longer sustain life. OUR LIFE.
Maybe some of the conditions includes making it cheap and easy for others to do this. It includes letting them not have to dig through tons and tons of books, websites and other information, but having the information on a silver platter. It includes ease of availability.

A new kind of community
I am Jasper Tomas, and I've always wanted to build some kind of self sufficient moneyless eco-friendly community since I was in 4th grade. I didn't know what to call it, but now we have a name for it - an EcoVillage.
EcoVillages are only one of the many kinds of intentional communities sprouting up all over the world. They're part of the movement for Sustanable Living on Earth, or PERMACULTURE.
Today I start my intentional community by deciding to co-own my 2 kittens with a couple of friends - Jonah and Marian. They're husband and wife, and they bought one of my kittens, but my sister wanted the same kitten they chose. So I decided that we co-own both kittens. =D
Thus my first intentional community was born. A community of cats. =D
